Some people go down the shore for Memorial Day. And some people take a bit of a bigger journey. As we prepare to head out for our holiday weekend, we’re getting ready to take you with us on a trip through time — it’s the first ever edition of WXPN Through The Years, and it’s your party soundtrack!
Beginning Friday at 4 p.m. with Dan Reed and Funky Friday, and carrying through Monday at 11:59 p.m., each hour will spotlight a different year in music, mixed up at random. One hour it might be 1976, and the next it might be 2004! We’ll spotlight the spectrum of sounds from each year — the classic hits and the forgotten gems — and we’ll dig into the pop culture surrounding them, curated like only WXPN can.
