In the past, WXPN’s Countdowns have broadcast wall-to-wall, 24/7, until we get to number one. This year, the music is so amazing, we don’t want you to miss a moment — so we’re broadcasting only during the daytime hours.
For the 885 Greatest Songs By Women (As Chosen By YOU), the countdown playback begins on Tuesday morning, December 5th; weekdays, the music will be played starting at 8 a.m. and will end around 6 p.m. On Friday, we’ll take a pause at noon for our Free At Noon concert, and on the weekend, the countdown playback will take place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. We anticipate the countdown will run until sometime early the week of December 10th.
