Metric joins host Raina Douris
Canadian band Metric came up during the early 2000s “indie sleaze” era, and broke out in the United States with their 2009 album Fantasies, and 2012 album Synthetica. On the World Cafe, singer Emily Haines and guitarist Jimmy Shaw are here to play a stripped-down set of songs, both from that era, and from their new album Romanticize the Dive. Plus, they talk about how the latest Metric record looks back on, and embraces, their earlier sound.
