(15-30 hours per week)

Are you interested in Radio? Web design & development? Would you like an internship that helps you build real world, transferable skills, and your CD collection? Then join the XPN Web Team this semester at XPN.org, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia.

Hours: This opportunity offers 15-30 hours per week of hands-on experience at one of America's Top 25 music websites.

Duties: Assist Digital Content Manager in editing and updating content on xpn.org. Assist publishing and maintaining daily playlist. Manage audio archiving and podcast file management. Assist in building the World Cafe Archives on WorldCafe.NPR.org from the backend. Manage the daily rotation of content on xpn.org. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Seeking a reliable student who is familiar with the web, a good communicator and knows how to prioritize and meet deadlines. Familiarity with a broad range of music and ability to communicate musical concepts is valuable. A background in copywriting (website, student newspapers, self-published weblogs) is a definite plus, but not required. A love of music is essential. Candidate should also have basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, email, web browsers).

Basic experience working with HTML and Photoshop is required.

Please note: This is not a frontend position, focused on writing or curating content for the web. It is focused more on the backend, management and code based, CMS side of the web. If you are looking for a journalism or writing internship position, you'd be better served to apply for the Music Blogger or PR/Social Media positions.

The University of Pennsylvania is an EEO/Affirmative Action employer.
