10-20 hours / week (UNPAID)

Description:

WXPN’s Membership Department is looking for a Fundraising Intern to assist with projects that elevate our nonprofit public service, engage the next generation of listeners, and promote widespread participation in philanthropy. Come learn about how nonprofit fundraising can support music in local communities and drive audience engagement. You will be a part of our team, and will receive professional support, hands-on education, and mentorship.

Duties:

This intern will help the membership department serve the 30,000 members who donate to WXPN and maintain a sophisticated system for data analysis and reporting in a new Salesforce CRM. Additionally, this position will assist in the creation of a volunteer-driven Young Listener Group, which will host events and programs to engage younger music fans and foster a community of new supporters. This position will have ample opportunities to assist with marketing initiatives, including creating targeted email campaigns, social media promotions, direct mail series, and on-air messaging.


Qualifications:

Strong written and oral communication skills especially through email and the phone. Some computer skills will be needed, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Creativity, a good sense of humor, and a friendly attitude are imperative.


Location:

At the WXPN offices in Philadelphia.
