WXPN, the non-commercial radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, is looking for a World Cafe Producer.

WXPN is looking for a Producer for World Cafe. Now in its 25th year, World Cafe is a 2 hour daily national music program distributed by NPR. Reporting to the Executive Producer/WXPN Assistant General Manager for Programming, the Producer will edit and produce the work of the hosts and contributors for radio and digital distribution. S/he will assist hosts and contributors in developing creative ideas, research, post-production and editing of the content.

BA/BS or equivalent experience required. At least three years of outstanding production and editorial decision making experience in radio, television or podcasting required. Must have demonstrated proficiency in writing and editorial abilities and the ability to research, develop and source stories. Must have demonstrated experience in storytelling, developing a narrative arc of an interview and excellent understanding of the standards and practices of journalism. Must possess excellent technical skills & experience with software like Pro Tools. Adobe Audition & Cool Edit to produce and edit sessions; blogging software like Wordpress and content management systems; Master Control or some other form of digital audio playlist software. Ideal candidate must have impeccable organizational skills, a successful history of managing a demanding workload, and demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Must be adept at communicating effectively across all levels of leadership while inspiring confidence. Strong candidate should be deeply immersed in the world of music, with emphasis on the AAA format, interested, curious, and excited about the musical landscape and can bring creative ideas to the team.
