Pickwick was featured on World Cafe: Next
with David Dye last month, is on the bill at XPN's SXSW showcase
on March 15, and is slotted for a headline show at MilkBoy Philly on April 26. With such great music, it is no surprise that this group has become a favorite here at XPN almost overnight.
"Seattle's Pickwick is a rock band with soulful tendencies and an extremely confident and charismatic lead singer in Gallen Disston," says Bruce Warren, Assistant General Manager of Programming for WXPN. "Their debut full length album more that delivers on the promise of the reputation that precedes them out of Seattle."
Dan Reed added, "Indy rock kids discover the almighty groove and the result is nothing less than outstanding. A giant buzz surrounds them, and they can harmonize like brothers."
