Helen Leicht’s Philly Local Pick of the Day (3/22/11): Dakota Jay

Helen Leicht’s Philly Local pick of the day is….

“Push The River” by Dakota Jay from his EP entitled Love You No More

Originally from Bucks County PA, Dakota moved to Nashville in 2009 where his songwriting has caused quite a stir in the music scene down there . His brand-new EP features multiple tracks that were produced by the legendary music producer Andy Kravitz (Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon). We only hope he’ll come home to PA soon to perform…

Here’s Dakota performing at The Commodore in Nashville, TN in March 2010:

I love the song Push The River. I was fortunate to see Dakota Jay play in Doylestown last summer. He was amazing. All of his songs are heart felt human stories that relate true to life emotions. I believe that he will make it to the top of the music charts one day soon. I hope he will come back to Phila. and perform in the next couple of months.
