David Dye and the World Cafe Travel Adventurers spent some time with Ani DiFranco in New Orleans yesterday (Ani lives there) and an organization called The Roots Of Music. The Roots of Music is taking a pro-active and preventative approach to crime in New Orleans by giving youth something better to do, something to achieve, and skills to build upon. It is an after school music program for underprivileged kids One of the members of Rebirth Brass Band was one of its founders and Ani is on their Board of Directors.
