My first gig

by Brian Divver, Web Content Developer, XPN

One of my most memorable musical moments was my first gig in my band Life. We played at G. Willickers in Pennsauken, New Jersey. I was the king on top of the metal mountain. I was standing on the stage where a lot of my favorite bands of that time stood. We had a frenzied pit going during our song “Prediction of Death” when I saw my brother get blindslided flipped in the air with the wind knocked out of him trying to get up in the pit. Nobody was helping him. So, I threw my bass and dove into the crowd to pick up my brother while my band never stopped playing. I picked him up and drug him to the wall of mirrors next to the pit. Once I was assured that he was ok I jumped on stage and completed the rest of the song my bass poorly tuned but I was full of energy.

i wont forget either , looking up and seeing you go flying off the stage into the crazy pit saying to myself where the hell is he going? i thought u were just going for a mosh during the middle of the song but then u came back up and finished the set like a pro.

    LIFE forever!
