Ah… Muse
by Debbie, Philadelphia, PA
I had recently gotten to know Muse’s last cd, Black Holes and Revelations. Normally I am not a fan of big rockin’ sounds, but these guys were amazing musicians with perfect harmonies. And I could sing my heart out in the car to them. Cut to: Knights of Cydonia, the closing song at Muse’s show last year at the Electric Factory. A 32 beat buildup of drums, bass, guitar (and whatever instruments were mixed in), with the entire crowd jumping up and down to the rhythm had to have been one of the most powerful and climactic musical experiences I have ever had. I am still blown away to this day by that moment.
P.S. This year’s Muse concert didn’t quite have the same effect on me, but they still give an amazing show.
