George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers at the Main Point

February 1978. I was a freshman at Villanova and the first Thorogood album was just beginning to get airplay on WMMR. A friend of mine from school talked me into going to the Main Point to see Thorogood whom I knew nothing about. Apparently no one else knew about him either because there was only a handful of people in the crowd. My friend and I were right up front and were intimately involved in a great performance. I saw Thorogood a year or two later at the Academy of Music (I think) and three and 1/2 years later at JFK opening for the Stones. Nothing beat the intimacy of the Main Point.
