Billy Miles - Billy Miles - Aezra Records

South California native Billy Miles was discovered by producer and musician Andre Williams while Miles was making the rounds of small clubs in Los Angeles. With her excellent debut release and words of praise spreading from fans that have seen her live shows, Miles is an exciting and exotic new talent.

Like her music, Miles is a fusion of diverse and complementary styles. She comes from a multi-racial background—her father is African-American, her mother Eurasian with Japanese and British roots — and her eclectic styles find her walking a line between urban, trip-hop, jazz and pop.

On a continuum of singers as singularly talented as Sade, Madeleine Peyroux, Eartha Kitt, Tracey Thorn (of Everything But The Girl), Erykah Badu and Nelly Furtado, Miles has her own unique neo-soul style. With subtle grooves, ambient musical arrangements and sultry melodies, Miles shines on songs like “We Can’t Help You,” “Sunshine,” “Another Taste,” and “Love Me.” Miles is a talent well worth looking out for.
