XPN Artist To Watch JD McPherson returns to Philadelphia on Friday November 2 for a sold out show at Johnny Brendas, and he'll be our guest for a Free At Noon concert.
Photo credit Samantha Franklin Oklahoma artist JD McPherson and his band brought their retro-infused rock & roll sound to the XPoNential Music Festival last summer. And, his debut album, Signs and Signifiers, released in April was both an XPN Featured Album of the Week, and CD of the Month this year. The album captures his appreciation of classic rock 'n' roll; the guitarist's gift lies in his ability to repackage timeless sounds into catchy, relevant tunes. McPherson also made a stop on the World Cafe with host David Dye in August. Listen to J.D.
