Folk-pop trio, Star & Micey is made up of Cosby (guitar and vocals), Geoff Smith (bass, vocals, and percussion), and Nick Redmond (electric guitar and vocals). The folk pop trio’s debut album, Star & Micey, came out in October of 2009.

It featured a variety of musicians such as Luther Dickinson, Jody Stephens, and Rick Steff. Their sophomore compilation, the EP I Can’t Wait, took a bit of a different turn. Released in early 2012, Star & Micey’s new EP marks the band’s return to the musical power and creativity of its core members. Its most notable track, “I Can’t Wait,” is effortless and easygoing, keeping the listener relaxed with a steady clapping and background vocals. The other tracks – “Love,” “Soul Stormin’,” and “No Pets Allowed” – all tell their own unique stories as well, much like the story that inspired Cosby and the band.
