Hear a Free At Noon Concert at 12noon ET from WXPN. Broadcast from the stage of World Cafe Live in Philadelphia

The Free At Noon Doubleheader featuring the Black Lips and Boy George on Friday, is SOLD OUT. You can listen along, online or over the air.

Eighties superstar Boy George isn’t done performing. Though it’s been 18 years since his last album release in 1995, he's on a North American tour supporting his latest endeavor, This Is What I Do, released last January. The artist is also well-known for his work with the band Culture Club and is reportedly working on new material with them as well. After he performs at Free At Noon, Boy George will kick off his tour that same night with a stop at The TLA. Tickets can be purchased here.

Photo credit: Mick Rock Atlanta-based rock band Black Lips released their latest album, Underneath the Rainbow, this March with a twist on their garage rock sound. With it being their ninth full-length, the band decided to focus its sound following 2011’s Arabia Mountain by working with a producer for the first time during their career. Even though the band is mixing things up a bit, they’re keeping to their raw, gritty roots. The Black Lips are also known for their signature intense live shows, so catch them at next Friday’s Free at Noon or later that night at First Unitarian Church. Tickets for that show can be purchased here
