Black Kids
Formed in 2006, The Black Kids reached fame quickly as a result of their growing online popularity. In 2007 they skyrocketed into the mainstream glare of mass media coverage, after their breakout performances at the Athens Popfest. They also released their EP Wizard of Ahhhs (for digital download only), praised for its humble classic pop.
Their coed harmonies, layered keyboards, lo-fi guitars and R&B seasoned songs were debuted online for the free-downloading pleasure of emerging fans. Their first major single "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You" was incredibly catchy and peaked at #11 on the UK Singles Chart early in April. They were named one of Rolling Stones' ten best new bands in 2008.

Does It Offend You, Yeah
What started out as two British digital noise computer nerds tinkering with synths quickly evolved into the emerging popular four-piece electro-rock outfit Does It Offend You, Yeah. Their ambitious layering of bass slaps, cowbells, guitar lines and 80's pop constitute the foundation of their sound, but their electronic screeching, shouts of excitement and electro-punk attitude makes them distinctive.
DIOYY first gained attention online in 2006 with the release of a few brilliant tracks and slowly gained popularity with remixes for Muse and Bloc Party. Their debut album, You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into melds eclectic genres into a pleasing dance-pop aesthetic. Defined by its "squelchy" rave and touches of nü-metal, the album has a unique sensibility.
Put on your dancing shoes and join us, as Does It Offend You, Yeah and Black Kids rock the stage at World Cafe Live in Philly on May 16.
