Broadcast live Fridays from the stage at World Cafe Live

Frank Turner Frank Turner is slowly but surely marching his his way up to the mainstream. From Winchester, England, the folk-punk songwriter spent his early years as the voice of various short-lived bands like Kneejerk and Million Dead. Since striking out on his own in 2005, he's accumulated significant notice for his heartfelt storytelling and honest musicality.

Turner combines punk with poetry, juxtaposing gorgeous melodies and aggressive beats with zest that's catapulting his popularity. Last year alone he supported Green Day on their European tour, in addition to headlining a sold-out gig of his own; on April 21, 2011, he played his thousandth solo show at London's Strummerville festival. His latest album, England Keep My Bones, offers a compelling assortment of acoustic ballads, hard-rock tracks, and even an a cappella account of the Norman Conquest.

Frank Turner is on tour in support of his new album, "England Keep My Bones." He plays a sold out T.L.A. show Friday night and will be here for a Free At Noon Friday November 4.
