He's been covered by Elvis Presley and Tom Jones, written songs for Tina Turner, worked with Mark Knopfler and released 25 studio and live albums over the past 40-plus years. His most recent outing, Hoodoo, was released on Yep Roc Records in September and the 70-year-old musician says it is inspired in part by the sounds of nature heard at his riverside home just outside of Nashville.
