Annie Clark, better known to fans by her stage name St. Vincent, joins us for a live Friday concert next Free at Noon. The New York experimental rocker is a master of moods, a stunning arranger and an accomplished guitarist. Her new self-titled album is out on February 24th , and can be heard this week on NPR Music's First Listen.

Clark got her start as a member of indie orchestras The Polyphonic a Spree and Sufjan Steven's backing band before forming St. Vincent in 2006. Since then, she has released three other albums including Marry Me in 2007, Actor in 2009, and Strange Mercy in 2011. St. Vincent quickly rose to fame by performing and collaborating with other indie acts like Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear and most recently, David Byrne on 2012's Love This Giant.

The multi-talented musician is known for unique psychedelic tunes employing a variety of sounds - everything from strings to wind instruments. XPN welcomes St. Vincent to Union Transfer for a sold-out show on Friday, Feb. 28th, so catch her while you can at Free at Noon.
