This week’s Free at Noon will feature a double header with New York duo The London Souls and Tennessee garage rock four-piece Turbo Fruits. The Souls are about to release their long-awaited second studio album Here Come The Girls, which is follows up their successful self titled debut from 2011. A car accident and long recovery delayed the release of the record for the band, which had nonetheless gained recognition with their songs appearing on shoe commercials and TV shows like Fearless Music.
Turbo Fruits are no strangers to success either; being featured in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut movie Whip It in 2009 and releasing four successful albums - the latest of which gained the seal of approval from The Black Keys' own Patrick Carney, who produced the record.
While Free at Noon is Turbo Fruits’ only upcoming show, The London Souls play Ardmore Music Hall on Saturday, April 11th. Be sure to get a taste of what they have in store this Friday for Free at Noon. Join us by RSVPing for the performance below or tune in live at 88.5 FM.
