XPN 5k Run



Join us for the 2nd Annual WXPN Musicians On Call 5K Run!

Bring the family to this scenic USATF certified 5K run to support WXPN Musicians On Call. Enjoy the course through beautiful Penn Park at the University of Pennsylvania. The course begins and ends at the park entrance across from the lower level of WXPN/World Cafe Live at 31st Street below the Walnut Street Bridge.

8:00am-11am (run starts 8:30)
In-person registration: $50 / $25 Students



Participants will receive an official XPN 5K Run T-Shirt and entry to the POST-RUN '80s DANCE PARTY
at World Cafe Live hosted by DJ Robert Drake until 11AM

(Bring your guests to the dance party! Guest passes available for just $5 at the door!)


            The course begins and ends at the park entrance across from the lower level of WXPN/World Cafe Live at 31st Street below the Walnut Street Bridge. A copy of the race map can be found HERE (PDF).


PACKET PICKUP


          • Bibs and shirts should be picked up between 1-7pm on Friday, October 2 at the upstairs lobby at WXPN/World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street.
          • Race Bibs can also be picked up on race day between 6:30am and 8am at Penn Park entrance on Lower 31st Street. (May be moved indoors to World Cafe Live due to inclement weather.)
          • If you are picking up for another registered person, please have a copy of their ID and their confirmation email.


RACE INFO

          • Race start time is 8:30am. Please plan to arrive by 8am. Please note that Lower 31st Street will close at 7:30 am or once the parking lot next to Lower 31st Street is full.
          • Location: Penn Park (3100 Lower Walnut Street) Public transportation is recommended. (It is an easy two block walk from 30th & Market Streets.) There is limited free Sunday parking available on Walnut Street. The Penn Park lot (adjacent to the course) is available starting at 6am (rate is $3 per hour or $12 per day, credit card only).
          • 80s Dance Party will take place from 9-11am at World Cafe Live. ($5 Tickets available at the Door for Guests!)
          • Awards will be given during the post-race party!

Net proceeds from the XPN 5K RUN benefit WXPN Musicians On Call which has delivered the healing power of music to more than 70,000 patients and their families in the Delaware Valley since 2004.
