Internships: Events

Events Assistant

(20-30 hours per week mid-May through early-July,
full time July 7-14)

Duties: WXPN (88.5FM) is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented student to support the Events Producer in planning and executing the station's 4-day music festival in July. Provide administrative and clerical support including, but not limited to, assisting with event logistics and coordination and fielding and placing event-related phone calls/emails. S/he will also work during the festival weekend supporting the Events Producer as needed. Candidates must have basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel). S/he must be reliable, have good interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with the public, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and work independently. Must be available to work 20-30 hours a week from mid-May through early-July, and then full-time during the week of the festival, during the festival (July 24-26), and the following week.
