WXPN Jobs: Digital Content Manager
WXPN, the non-commercial radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, is looking for a Digital Content Manager.
Develop, implement and evaluate WXPN's online strategy. Using a "digital-first" set of web skills the Digital Content Manager will create, curate, edit, develop, deliver and help to produce digital content while engaging users across all social and digital platforms. Create original content and supervise social media staff. With direction from the Assistant Station Manager for Programming, this manager will oversee the day-to-day web, mobile and social media related content for The Key, World Cafe and XPN.org.
BA/BS with a minimum of three years of experience working in an online/digital multi-media environment is required. Experience in music related content development field is preferred. Candidate must have proven grasp of digital trends and ability to grow digital-content audiences. This position requires solid communication skills and proven editorial judgment, with a commitment to standards of objectivity, balance and fairness. Must have strong writing and copy editing skills, specifically material for web audiences and SEO driven posts. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment is a must. Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), audio/video editing software, Joomla or other content management systems, social media platforms and blogging. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is helpful. Must be able to work flexible schedule depending on breaking news and needs of the station.
