Tickets go on sale May 1 for three-day festival on the Camden, NJ waterfront

PHILADELPHIA – DR. JOHN, DAWES, JOHN BUTLER TRIO and many more will join previously-announced artists THE LUMINEERS and DR. DOG for the three-day 2013 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru taking place Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28 at Camden County, New Jersey’s Wiggins Park and Susquehanna Bank Center. The acclaimed annual music festival is organized and produced by WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and noncommercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania.
“With the XPoNential Festival’s legacy and popularity, and our stellar lineup of artists, this is the Philadelphia-area concert event of the summer,” said WXPN General Manager Roger LaMay.
As with previous years, the Festival will showcase an exciting mix of national, local, heritage and up-and-coming artists. Scheduled to perform are:
Starting today, April 16, new and renewing WXPN members who pledge $24 a month will receive two 3-day festival passes that includes lawn admission to THE LUMINEERS, DR. DOG, POLIÇA and WAKE OWL show at the Susquehanna Bank Center on July 27, and WXPN membership for a year that also includes free beverages and artist meet-and-greets during the XPoNential Music Festival. Tickets will be available to WXPN members and the general public starting on May 1.
ABOUT THE XPONENTIAL MUSIC FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY SUBARU
Now in its ninth year at Wiggins Park and its second year at the adjacent Susquehanna Bank Center, the XPoNential Music Festival is produced in partnership with the Camden County, NJ Board of Freeholders and features a lineup of established and up-and-coming artists as heard on WXPN. Wiggins Park is located on the Camden Waterfront, between the Adventure Aquarium and the Susquehanna Bank Center, and features a promenade along the Delaware River with spectacular views of the river and Philadelphia skyline, a natural amphitheatre for great sound, easy access to public transportation, lush open green spaces and the nearby Adventure Aquarium. Gates will open at 5 pm on Friday, July 26 and at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. The Kids Corner area in the Children’s Garden at Wiggins Park will be open from 11:30 am to 6pm.
