Join us for the Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, as Good Old War performs a live midday concert on Friday or catch the LIVE video webcast on VuHaus.
Long-running Philly indie-folk band Good Old War joins us August 14th for Free at Noon. Formed in the wake of area bands Days Away and Unlikely Cowboy, they've released four studio albums to date. This year's Broken Into Better Shape has been in heavy rotation here at WXPN, and the album marks a turning point in the band's sound - it's quite possibly their most pop-oriented, accessible record to date. They've collaborated with several other well-known musicians, such as Anthony Green, Person L, T-Collar, Emile Haynie, and Dave Davison of Maps & Atlases. The band does not currently have any hometown performances on their tour schedule, so this week’s appearance at Free at Noon is your chance to catch them this summer. Listen on the radio watch the LIVE webcast on VuHaus or join us in person at World Cafe Live by RSVPing at XPN.org.
