Mike DoughtyFormer Soul Coughing frontman, Mike Doughty, is on tour in support of his new album Yes and Also Yes. Mike Doughty and His Band Fantastic with Moon Hooch and Jesse Ruben play a full show at the TLA in Philly, on Wednesday night, November 16, and will be here for an XPN Free At Noon Show on the 18th.

Doughty began his solo career in the nineties, and self-released Skittish in 1996, originally selling it on CD-Rs after small shows he played around the country. His hard work and determination paid off and Doughty began to develop his own following. In 2005, he released Haughty Melodic with his full band, and the song, "Looking At The World From The Bottom of a Well" got a lot of airplay. The album was an XPN Featured Album in June of that year and made no. 14 on the XPN Year In Review. Several of his songs have been featured on television shows - his other well known songs include "27 Jennifers" (from Golden Delicious) and "Busting up a Starbucks," (from Gratified). His latest album, Yes and Also Yes, follows closely on the heels of his electronic sampler, Dubious Luxury which was released earlier this year. Yes and Also Yes was released in August on ATO.

Mike Doughty and his band played the XPoNential Music Festival in 2005, and we are excited to have him back on stage at WXPN and World Cafe Live for our next Free At Noon show.
