Khakikid joins host Raina Douris
KhakiKid has been making music since he was a kid – recording his first raps on a gaming headset, in the bedroom he shared with his brothers, while those same brothers played video games and shouted around him. He officially released his debut single in 2020 when he was 19 years old – and has been rising since then. In 2025, he had a viral hit with his song “Date Night” which he performed on Ireland’s late night TV show, the Late Late Show. And the day before World Cafe taped a session with him, he put out a new EP called Girl Bites Dog. Hear “Date Nite” plus the new songs in some of their first performances with a full band, along with a charming and funny interview with KhakiKid.
