WXPN Announces I Heart XPN Button Makeover Contest Radio station asks listeners to create and submit original button designs

Philadelphia, Pa. Do you have an artistic side and love expressing your creativity? Do you also love supporting local, nonprofit radio? If you answered yes to these two questions, then WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and noncommercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania, has the perfect contest for you!

Today, XPN announced its I Heart XPN Button Makeover Contest. From now until midnight February 20, XPN fans can submit original designs to be featured on a button that XPN will produce for its listeners. !

WXPN will select five finalists for listeners to vote on starting February 23. The winning design will be produced to give away at WXPN events, and the winning designer will receive a one-year XPN Membership that includes two passes to the 2011 Non-COMMvention in Wilmington from May 19-21 and two weekend passes to the 2011 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru on the Camden waterfront from July 22-24.!

“Our I Heart XPN buttons have become collector’s items over the years, and we’re excited to have one of our fans design the new button. It’s one of the many ways we show our love for our listeners,” said WXPN General Manager Roger LaMay. “We’ve already seen some great designs and look forward to seeing many more!”!

Designs must be original, fit a 1.75” button and submitted as a .jpeg or .gif file type using at least 600 dpi. File sizes cannot exceed 5MB. The winning design will be announced on March 4. !
