WXPN Features Good Old War as the XPN Artist To Watch for March

PHILADELPHIA, PA - WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A music and non-commercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania, names Good Old War as its March Artist To Watch. WXPN Music Director and Host Dan Reed presented the first of the month's on-air segments today, March 1, in the 4 p.m. hour.

This Philadelphia band got its name for the last names of its members: Good for Keith Goodwin, Old for Tim Arnold, and War for Daniel Schwartz. The group has a new album coming out on March 6th entitled Come Back as Rain, featuring the single "Calling Me Names," which has already delighted radio listeners and kept them asking for more. This album marks the third studio release for the group, all of which have been met with great listener acclaim. Good Old War has a distinctive sound, featuring an indie folk taste with soaring harmonies and bright acoustic guitar, and the poetic lyrics make listeners want to both dance and listen intently. They plan on embarking on a release tour this spring with guest groups The Belle Brigade and Family of the Year, including a homecoming performance at Union Transfer on April 27. They play a Free At Noon doubleheader with Jessie Baylin this Friday, and their performances and catchy, thought-provoking tunes are not to be missed!
