New! The Lillywhite Sessions
Producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel) is producing music sessions for the World Cafe at the world-renowned Avatar Studios in New York City. The first of sessions, featuring She & Him, aired Wednesday, June 11. The next Lillywhite Session with Brit electronic duo Goldfrapp will air Wednesday, July 9.

Brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza have returned with their third album, Forgiven, and it is colored with a slightly different shade of roots-rock, due in large part to the decision to work with producer/drummer Steve Jordan.

This month WXPN and The Current will help you discover new bands from both Philly and the Twin Cities. Today's featured artist is Andrew Lipke. Philadelphia based singer-songwriter, Andrew Lipke, has been categorized as a cross between a singer-songwriter and an alternative rocker - given that Lipke claims influences from Bach to Pink Floyd and Radiohead. His current album, The Way Home was produced at Drexel University's Mad Dragon Records under Emmy Award Winning composer Jim Klein. Here's a song from Andrew Lipke's new CD.
