She takes on some definitive, as well as deep-cut Springfield covers, giving the arrangements a refreshing update and Shelby’s powerfully emotive vocal rendering.

After fronting the ska-punk outfit, Stiffed, Santi White struck out on her own under the stage name Santogold, a nickname she received in grade school. Driven by the relentlessly catchy singles “Creator” and “L.E.S. Artistes”, her eponymous debut album is a kaleidoscope of punk, reggae, hip-hop, and electro, never letting up on energy or originality. Santogold is XPN's Artist To Watch for May!
