  1. "Bulerías de un Caballo Malo"
  2. "Tangos de una Moto Trucada"

In this episode of our Sense of Place: Madrid series, you’ll hear from a new artist named Ralphie Choo. With his music, he melds that history, using traditional Spanish influences and instruments with the unpredictable, changing energy of the present to create something that sounds like the future.

Ralphie Choo’s live performance for Sense of Place: Madrid was a mind-blowing discovery for us. I’ve never heard anyone who sounds like Ralphie Choo. And it turns out, I’m not the only one who feels that way. In the time since our taping in Madrid back in April, Ralphie got signed.

Due to record label stuff and release dates beyond our control, you’ll hear the longer, full version of this session later this summer, closer to when his album comes out in the fall. For now, you get to hear a teaser, a shorter version of our interview and one of his live performances. Think of it as an exclusive look at what’s coming. Trust me: It’ll leave you wanting more.
