Heard by over half a million listeners on over 200 public radio stations, World Cafe is our signature program and we had a blast celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2011. With that milestone, we began moving the program forward in exciting new ways, programmatically and technically.

With support from our Campaign for the Music, World Cafe has brought you new voices, and sights as well as sounds, from all over the U.S. and the world. Sense of Place and Latin Roots have put the "World" back in the Cafe.

The technological and media advances of the past 20 years offer many opportunities to enhance the World Cafe experience.

Future directions include:
