Salvador
Begin today with a locally guided tour of Salvador’s historic center featuring a visit to Sao Francisco Church, and finishing with a stroll along some of the area’s most beautiful beaches. Tonight dine a traditional Bahian restaurant. After dinner, enjoy a show at the famed Ballet Folclorico da Bahia. (B, D)

Salvador
Today visit the Itapagipe Peninsula, where you will visit the most famous church of the city, Bonfim Church. Then experience the Moserrat district to enjoy its panoramic view of the city. Then have some time at the Mercado Model, a thriving market for local goods. The remainder of the day is free to explore at your leisure.(B)

Salvador - Rio de Janeiro
Fly to Rio de Janeiro! Magnificent views, beautiful beaches, flamboyant Carnival costumes, great cuisine and friendly people make Rio the cultural capital of Brazil. Take a cable car ride to the top of Sugarloaf for mesmerizing views of the coastline and rolling forest. Next make a stop at the famous Sambodromo. This is the heart of Carnival, and it is alive with samba dancing, elaborate costumes, and floats during the festival. Tonight, learn how to craft caiprinihas – Brazil’s famous cocktail made with sugar cane liquor and lime - before having dinner with your fellow travelers. (B, D)

Begin your day by ascending Corcovado by train to Christ the Redeemer, one of the largest Art Deco statues in the world. Enjoy panoramic vistas of Tijuca Forest National Park and the city below. View Maracanã Football Stadium – host to soccer’s 2014 World Cup. Next, take a 23 story elevator to Contagalo Favela directly overlooking Ipanema. Tonight, hear for yourself why Rio, the birthplace of the Bossa Nova, is hailed as one of the world’s music capitals with an exciting night on the town in the Lapa neighborhood.(B)

Enjoy a morning at your leisure. This afternoon, experience the charming Santa Teresa neighborhood. Arrive via open air jeep, taking in captivating views of the city below as you travel near the landmark Lapa Arches aqueduct. This area is now experiencing a revitalization as an artistic and bohemian center. Then, indulge in a “Churrascaria” feast of marinated and barbecued meats before attending a spectacular samba show. Rio de Janeiro - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Fly to Buenos Aires, birthplace of the tango. Stretching along the banks of the Rio de la Plata, the “Paris of South America” is a mosaic of European-styled architecture and South American spirit. Enjoy a tour of the capital. See the lavish Teatro Colon opera house, the Avenida 9 de Julio; Recoleta Cemetery, where Evita Peron rests; the Presidential Palace, the Casa Rosada; the colorful La Boca neighborhood, and the historic San Telmo barrio. Later, stroll through San Martin Park or Calle de Florida, a shopper’s paradise.
