This Weeks World Cafe Next Artists Are Sekou

This week’s World Cafe: Next artists are Sekou Kouyate, a kora player from Guinea in West Africa, and rapper, loop-maker and soul folkie Joe Driscoll. Their new album, Faya, is an excellent cross-cultural collaboration of seemingly disparate musical styles. Kouyate and Driscoll don’t have share a common language, but their work together is a wonderful mix of styles.
