Lady Alma’s Artist Statement: “I’ve seen injustices, not just with, you know, our Black folk, but I’ve seen injustices with our Caucasian families and injustices with our Asian families and it’s always the big guy against the little guy. They seem to get liberty, but when it comes to the people who built this country, who helped forge neighborhoods and communities, how come we never can get our right to liberty? People need to get together and with the power that they have when they stop fighting each other, fight the real problem. That was an inspiration for the song.”
