Similar to his music, if you see Nick Waterhouse he styles himself as an artist from decades past. On sight bringing to mind a Buddy Holly-like character. On record, he tries to recapture that classic sound. A delightful sound that’s a little rough around the edges. No doubt deliberate, the songs on Time's All Gone are wrapped in fuzz, clearly advocating a more vintage style recording in the studio. Waterhouse surrounds himself with a complete band featuring squealing horns, flirtatious back-up singers and a dynamic rhythm section. As a frontman, Nick is unrestrained by the studio walls. He’ll screech along with the horns and his guitar licks sound like utter ‘in-the-moment’ progressions.

Time's All Gone is the full-length debut for Waterhouse. He released an EP a few months back (featuring a few overlapping songs). It’s easy to fall in love with songs like the lead-off track “Some Place” or the doo-wop number “I Can Only Give You Everything”. They both showcase some of those familiar 50s/60s soul sounds, but with the confidence of a young man set to captivate current day audiences.
