Camper Van Beethoven

Camper Van Beethoven has returned to the music scene with the highly anticipated release of their new album La Costa Perdida (429 Records). This cohesive album is the band’s 8th studio album and first since 2004.

Finally reuniting after a nine year hiatus, the legendary alternative rock band is electrifying fans with the album’s lead single Northern California Girls. Heavily influenced by their California roots, the band decided to funnel in all of the California sunshine and beaches into one delightful compilation of songs that explore their middle-aged nostalgia and their love for The Golden State.

Currently touring the west coast, Camper Van Beethoven consists of the four core members David Lowery (guitar, vocals), Jonathan Segel (violin, guitar, mandolin, keyboards, vocals), Victor Krummenacher (bass, guitar), and Greg Lisher (guitar). In addition, the band has recruited former Cracker band member Michael Urbano and present Cracker band member Frank Funaro to collaborate with the band on albums and performances. Although the band experienced a significant period of inactivity in pursuit of solo careers, the release of La Costa Perdida demonstrates the pure talent the band members collectively possess when they flirt with various musical styles ranging from ska, country, psychedelia to even northern Mexican styles. This is one band’s music you wouldn’t want to miss!
