Philadelphia-based Brazilian band Minas began over thirty years ago at the North Carolina School of the Arts. There, Orlando Haddad and Patricia King met and set out to bring Brazilian music to stateside audiences, and three decades later they're one of the most sought after Brazilian bands in the US. Performing in many incarnations, ranging from the duo of Haddad and King (the core of every performance) to large ensembles to orchestral arrangements, Minas has earned a well-deserved reputation for their spirited and vitalizing live act.
