Steve Forbert and the Windfall Prophets

Steve Forbert and the Windfall ProphetsWith an absolutely superb track record that stretches back three decades, Steve Forbert has fashioned a niche for himself within the folk genre. His records offer incredibly thoughtful songs that are lushly orchestrated and cleanly produced - an organic-sounding combination that is rare in contemporary music today. His lyrical intelligence and vocal timbre have garnered him comparisons to Bob Dylan since the beginning of his career but - make no mistake - Steve's unique sound and energy are all his own. Since his breakthrough sophomore album Jackrabbit Slim in 1979 that featured the hit "Romeo's Tune," Forbert has enjoyed both critical praise and, more importantly, a devoted host of fans. His newest release is The Place and The Time.
