Deb Callahan

Deb CallahanDeb Callahan is a Philadelphia-based artist, born and bred in Boston and well-known throughout the Mid-Atlantic music scene for her trademark emotional blues. Deb Callahan's tunes come from the heart, and her rich, soulful, and honest performances have helped build her reputation. Her fourth full length came out just this last October, produced by songwriter and producer Chris Arms and recorded by Grammy winning Phil Nicolo. With nine new forays into blues, gospel, jazz, and soul, Callahan also included two covers in the album - a Tina Turner tune and Bob Dylan's "Cold Irons Bound." Deb Callahan recently gave birth to a son, and is hitting the stage again this summer after a short subsequent hiatus to celebrate the release of her new album, Tell It Like It Is. There's little doubt the local blues community is glad to have her back, as are XPoNential Music Festival goers.
