Day number two of the 2012 XPoNential Music Festival wrapped up with a high-energy lineup at the Susquehanna Bank Center. On the main stage was the much-anticipated triple bill of Wilco, The Avett Brothers and Dr. Dog. You can see the photo gallery on TheKey.XPN.org.
Here's a video of Dr. Dog performing "Lonesome."
Philadelphia loves Dr. Dog. These locals have been making music since 1999 and, though they tour around the country and churn out a new release almost every year, they always make time for shows in their hometown. At their Free At Noon show in March, the men of Dr. Dog showcased their new album, Be The Void. After touring to promote the record, they return this summer to bring it to life on stage. Be The Void was an XPN Featured Album of the Week and CD of the Month in March. It's a reckless rock album that front man Scott McMicken describes as "reminiscent of when [they] were fearless weirdos in a basement." We're just glad that they'll be playing the Susquehanna Bank Center as part of the XPoNential Music Festival on Saturday night, July 21!
The band also played the 2010 XPoNential Music Festival, and you can listen to their performance on The Key.
Note: Only 3-Day Festival Passes include lawn admission to the July 21 Wilco, The Avett Brothers, and Dr. Dog show at the Susquehanna Bank Center.
