Field Report

Chris Porterfield, lead singer of Field Report, has been around the block. He used to be a part of the seminal Wisconsin group DeYarmond Edison, which boasts alums like Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and the members of freak folk group Megafun. Porterfield has been working on Field Report's music for the past 5 years, and recently received rave reviews after their performance at SXSW. Besides impressing the critics, they also impressed Adam Duritz, frontman for Counting Crows, who liked them so much that he invited them to tour with the Crows all summer.
