The Tisburys, Slingshot Dakota and more are playing Scranton's inaugural Good Things Are Happening Festival - WXPN

There’s another summer music festival we’d like to put on your radar, and that’s Scranton’s Good Things Are Happening Fest featuring a number of Philly bands on August 6th. Organizer and singer-songwriter James Barrett will be performing (only a month after his World Cafe Live show with rockers Riverby) alongside Bethlehem’s Slingshot Dakota and on-deck for our own XPoNential Music Festival: The Tisburys. A reunited Captain, We’re Sinking will headline.

Good Things Are Happening Fest will take place in the beautiful and historic Scranton Iron Furnaces, with performances beginning at noon. The one-day festival will go on all day, with audiences of all ages welcome. Tickets are only $25, and they’re available at XPN’s Concerts and Events page. More information can be found at the festival’s Instagram account.
