Job Description Summary
WXPN is looking for a Sales Representative to generate and cultivate business for the underwriting team. This employee will work from the WXPN office. Must have personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for client visits.
Under the direction of the Sales Director, they will design and implement sales efforts targeting to potential corporate sponsors for local programming, events, digital assets and prospect for new business. Manage current accounts to ensure timely collection and to increase renewal revenue. Perform other work as needed, including compiling personal weekly sales an activities reports, and work with the traffic department to ensure the contract confirmations are accurate and that sponsorship announcements are written, approved, scheduled and run appropriately.
BA/BS or equivalent education required. At least two – three years of hands-on experience in sales, corporate promotions or marketing required. Experience with selling media will be an asset.
Please note that compensation is based on commission versus draw.
