Check out a rundown of highlights below; for more, check out our concert picks, and dive into the WXPN Concerts and Events page.

Friday 10/28: MONSTER – A Lady Gaga Party @ The Dolphin

DJ Xtina promises a mix of “HAUS + ALT POP + GAGA ANTHEMS &&& FASHION!” at this Friday night ripper in South Philly. It also features a Lady Gaga costume contest and goes till 2 a.m., so even if you are getting into the game-watching mix earlier tonight, that will be done in plenty of time for you to shimmy up South Broad in your wigs, platform shoes, and aerodynamic attire. Saturday 10/29: goodie + Ovum Records present HALLOWINK @ Warehouse On Watts

25 years ago, when DJ culture was having its first big moment in the mainstream, Josh Wink was one of Philly’s breakout stars, and he maintains local ties via his Ovum Records imprint and parties like this Saturday’s HALLOWINK. Harry Romero and Wink are spinning, costumes are encouraged, and doors don’t open till 10, so get ready to go all night long. (TIX / INFO)

Saturday 10/29: Cherry-Veen Zine’s Spooky Season Tribute Show @ Ortlieb’s

Costumed cover sets from bands who usually play strictly their own material is something of a Philly tradition around Halloween. Our friends at CVZ — the Philly music championing collective that XPN’s own Paige Walter co-runs — have put together a solid Spooky Season tribute show for their first gig back in the mix booking at Ortlieb’s. Curtis Cooper and their bandmates cover Primus, Abi Reimold and their friends go as the Soggy Bottom Boys, Grocer is Pavement, and Broke Body is The Cure for all your 90s music love in NoLibs on Saturday. Saturday 10/29: Taylor Kelly as No Doubt, The Lunar Year as Hole @ World Cafe Live

To their credit, World Cafe Live carves out space on their Lounge stage for Philly artists to pay tribute to their peers and favorites all year round via their Philly Sings Philly and Philly Under Cover series. But the Halloweekend event they’re throwing is too stellar to overlook: a rising star in the indie R&B / pop zone, Taylor Kelly is playing a No Doubt covers set this Saturday, while gritty rockers The Lunar Year will channel the energy of grunge/pop icon Courtney Love with a Hole covers set. Get ready to sing along. (TIX / INFO)

Saturday 10/29: A Hyperpop Halloween with FVTURE FAVORITE @ The Dolphin

Got enough options for Saturday? It feels like everything is happening this night, but another worthy contender is FVTURE FAVORITE, a hyperpop dance party at The Dolphin. Get your freak on to 100 gecs, Charli XCX, Rico Nasty and more care of mix masters Tygerstrype and Wassup Gina. (TIX / INFO)

Saturday 10/29: Tunes and Tarot @ The Khyber

Philly bands 49 Burning Condors, The Black Coast, and the awesome psych-prog trio Bröthers have a Khyber show that on any other weekend would be a stacked show on a Saturday night. For Halloweekend, the band is incorporating a mystical tarot element with readings by The Oracle of Adelphi and custom tarot cards by Taylor Halquist. (TIX / INFO)

Sunday 10/30: Mischief Night Mayhem 2 @ Love City Brewing

Shoutouts to Cat Park of innumerable Philly DIY bands — most notably Amanda X and Eight — for always finding a way to combine the worlds of wrestling and punk in her events-booking side hustle. This Sunday, Park has thrown together an afternoon Mischief Night Meyhem party outdoors at Love City Brewing to benefit the Abortion Liberation Fund of PA. The event features a roster of bands performing — including NYC’s Material Support and Orange Crystal, and Pittsfield Mass’ Escuela Grind — as well as a loaded schedule of a half dozen wrestling matches — the Six Way Scramble Match with CPA vs. The Crusher vs. Delightful Dan The God Damn Candy Man vs. Dr. Ethan Wilde vs. Jermaine vs. Sazzy Boatright sounds RIDICULOUS — and at least one name, UltraMantis Black, who will both play a band set and a wrestling match. An array of crafters and food vendors makes this a killer way to spend your Sunday. (TIX / INFO)

Sunday 10/30: One More Time @ Silk City

Wrap up your rager of a Halloweekend with this covers gig at Spring Garden Street staple Silk City, where Dot Gov plays a Daft Punk covers set — which, considering that Daft Punk rarely performed live, and is now no longer a going concern, this will be special — while the endlessly inventive Mitamu is joining them for an anime set. What will that entail? Attend to find out! (TIX / INFO)
