We’ll be featuring the modern rural blues of Jontavious Willis from his album, West Georgia Blues. You’ll also hear more from Shemekia Copeland’s new album, Blame It On Eve, which drops this week.

After a long incubation period, and lots of planning and connecting with different people all over the region, The Philadelphia Blues Society is now a reality! The brand new non-profit 501c3 organization was formed by many longtime blues lovers and performers to help preserve and promote this vital all-American art form in the Philadelphia region. The launch party for this organization is on Sunday, October 27th, headlined by Benny Turner, half-brother of the late, great Freddie King.
