Poguetry joins host Raina Douris

Members of The Pogues have teamed up with the Louisiana band Lost Bayou Ramblers to form a new act, called Poguetry. Spider Stacy, original member of the Celtic punk band first saw Lost Bayou Ramblers perform their Cajun music in 2011 and knew they were kindred spirits. Their unique fusion show made a stop at the World Cafe recently. We’ll hear Poguetry’s live performance today, plus host Raina Douris talks with Spider Stacy and Rocky O’Riordan about how the two groups came together and the time Joe Strummer briefly led The Pogues.
