Lawrence Rothman joins host Stephen Kallao

Lawrence Rothman created not one, but two, albums during the pandemic. The first featured collaborations with artists like Amanda Shires and Lucinda Williams, called Good Morning America. Its companion album, Not A Son, is a spoken word piece, building off Rothman’s work as a writer and poet. These latest records helped Rothman, who is gender fluid, process a string of abuse they suffered a child. We’ll hear stories behind the new songs, and that time Lawrence and his wife got a visit from David Bowie.
